Workers' Compensation
The Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation handles claims.
What to do if you're hurt at work:- Report the injury to your employer within 30 days.
- Seek medical treatment through the employer's authorized provider.
- File a Claim for Compensation if benefits are denied.
- Notify your employer within 30 days.
- File a formal claim within 2 years.
- Employers with 5+ employees must carry workers' compensation (construction: all employers).
- Temporary total disability pays 66 2/3% of average weekly wage.

State Disability Programs
Missouri does not have a state disability insurance program. Apply through federal SSDI/SSI.
